Kamianets-Podilskyi Castle
Perched above the dramatic bend of the Smotrych River, Kamianets-Podilskyi Castle is a medieval fortress that defines Ukraine’s northwestern folklore. Built in the 14th–16th centuries by Polish and Lithuanian rulers, it rose from rocky cliffs to defend a thriving market town with regal towers, bastions and a legendary bridge. Inside you’ll find preserved chambers, armories and chapels, while the surrounding fortress walls offer sweeping views of the fairy-tale town below. Visitors can wander the maze of towers, take guided tours, and enjoy dramatic sunsets over the canyon.
