Wat Tham Suea
Wat Tham Suea, better known as the Tiger Cave Temple, sits on a forested hill above Krabi town and rewards climbers with sweeping Andaman views. The ascent challenges visitors with about 1,237 steps, but the reward at the hilltop stupas, gilded Buddha statues, and a radiant golden chedi is unforgettable. Inside the limestone caves are sacred shrines, meditation alcoves, and tiger legends that add mystique to the spiritual atmosphere. Expect humidity, incense, and panoramic, temple-spired scenery; arrive early or at sunset for cooler temps and photo-worthy vistas.
