A thoroughly liveable city, Melbourne has a buzzy vibe and an Aussie sense of fun. There’s always something going on, and one of its many festivals is Moomba – Australia’s largest free arts festival. Well worth a visit are the National Gallery of Victoria and the Melbourne Aquarium, where you can walk through a clear tunnel as sharks swim over your head.
The city’s most recognizable landmark is Flinders Street Station, whose yellow and green façade matches the color of the historic Melbourne trams that still run around the world’s longest tram network. Keep an eye out for the street art as you travel.
Shopping in Melbourne is fantastic. Queen Victoria Market is the largest open-air market south of the Equator, while the La Trobe Street shopping center has over 300 stores. For food, don’t miss Little Italy - the Carlton area.
South of the Yarra River is St Kilda, home to the best beach and Albert Park, where the F1 Australian Grand Prix is held. However, this isn't the city’s only sports heritage. It’s also the home of Aussie Rules soccer and the MCG, a must-see for cricket fans.
Booking.com has a range of Melbourne accommodations from hotels to hostels and motels, some near Melbourne Airport.

Melbourne is a beautiful city with many green places and spaces. The transportation makes it easy to get around; and there are many original and excellent eating places. People are very happy to help you sort out your unknowns.
All in all one of the best cities I have been in including abroad.

Your facility was opposite the Spencer Street Station which was great as we travelled from Regional Victoria to come to Melbourne and stay.
From your facility we could catch free tram transport to all venues we needed to get to and not having to worry about car parking.

We were able to cover 75% of MUST SEE we need to cover in Melbourne in 2 days. If we were to do it again, I'd spend at least 3 full days minimum for CBD, 5 if doing day trips to the 12 Apostles and Penguin Parade.

Awsome City for entertainment / sport and food options...
Awsome City for entertainment / sport and food options galore, so easy to get around on the free trams (City Green zone only) Used to cruise a bit when the kids where younger but not interested in chew and spew food anymore, $13 dollar warm beers in cans, toilets smaller than your car glove box and people behaving like cattle. We head to Melbourne every year or two, stay in the best accomdation, walk ride or tram everywhere and eat at the best retsuraunts you can imagine, ice cold beers and coctials. no matter where you are you'll find your spot along the Yarra or somewhwere close by, spoilt for choice really.... Love it.

The hotel was clean and comfortable.
The hotel was clean and comfortable. I loved the vintage touch in the building. The location is excellent. Many attractions, such as the river cruise, Sea Life, and Melbourne Sky Deck, were within walking distance. The Flinders Street Station building is also beautiful!

This was my first time staying in Carlton.
This was my first time staying in Carlton. What a perfect location for when you need to visit places across Melbourne. Its half an hour to anywhere that you would be likely to need to go and 15 minutes to the airport. Food options here are great especially Lygon St.

From the start you are greeted with friendly receptionist staff who are helpful and polite. The building is well kept and the rooms are spacious. Although the hotel doesn’t do breakfast, the recommended restaurant is second to none.
The building is also located in the CBD of Melbourne with lots of public transport available to get around the city.
This is a hidden little gem. It's a simple hotel but comfortable and located right in the heart of the CBD of Melbourne. It's a perfect place to explore from or get to the office from and is surrounded by delicious eateries for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We will definitely consider Causeway Hotel again next time we need to stay in the city.
Very close to the CBD and Vic markets, on the free tram line into the city making travel very convenient. The hotel is set up for family or business and the lobby is nice.
Gym and pool also a nice bonus! Plus a quiet spot on the top floor with comfortable seating to relax away from hustle and bustle of Melbourne CBD.
The breakfast was awesome great selection on the menu to choose from. The location was perfect within walking distance to many great sites like laneways NGV, CBD, Fed Square. The hotel was so clean it really did exceed my expectations !! Also how good is Melbourne I haven't been for many years such a cool city !!!
Location is amazing to Melbourne’s CBD, public transport & Southbank. Their quick resolve to make good on our booking when they first informed us the hotel was at capacity and our bedding configuration wasn’t available. After a few minutes we miraculously had the room we had booked. Beds and pillows were comfy.
