We stayed only 1 night as we continued our trip to Kavala for a business meeting. So the location was perfect, in the beginning we had difficulties to find itm probably light box could solve this problem. The concierge/night shift receptionist was very helpful and provided detailed information that made it easier for us to find the perfect place for dinner and visit all the desired places in a short time before we left for Kavala. Day shift reception personnel also was very kind and helpful - ordered us Taxi and kept my belongings I accidentally forgot there, being in a hurry, until I returned after 3 days. room was clean, and the water flow was impressive. breakfast - as we were on an Orthodox fasting, the most important thing was that we could find what to eat, so it was quite varied and tasty. Those colorful pillows over there made the space comfortable.

Special Beauty and Culture

Situated in the region of Central Macedonia, Thessaloniki is the 2nd largest city in Greece and a precious cultural center. Built near the sea, this modern metropolis used to be the crossroads between east and west, and houses some of the most amazing Byzantine and Ottoman monuments.

This lively city is full of large avenues, green squares, stunning Neo-Classical buildings and stylish shops. The White Tower of Thessaloniki is an imposing landmark on the waterfront and is the symbol of the city - a reminder of old times.

Visit sophisticated Thessaloniki, and you will have the chance to meet some of the most important Greek artists and musicians. The city has also an energetic nightlife featuring a number of clubs, bars or "bouzoukia".

Famous for the traditional taverns, restaurants and "ouzeries", the Ladadika neighborhood is the old Jewish quarter, filled with picturesque narrow streets. It's an ideal place to try some famous Macedonian specialities like bougatsa, souvlaki, and the delicious 'Panorama triangles'.

Thessaloniki International Airport is located about 9 miles away from the city center, and is the second busiest airport in Greece. Booking.com has a large selection of hotels, apartments and guest houses throughout the city.

I have never seen so many depressed people in one place before. It was like the people and the town had given up. We had dealings with a lot of people there - shop keepers, waiters etc etc - and their reception felt like they had no time for tourists. A disappointing trip which we will never make again.

It is nice to have a walk at the seashore, although it did not have a beach, it is reather an industrial type of port. The public transportation is easy to use (metro) and also cheap (0,6 EUR for 70 mins). We started all of our daily programs (Ammon and Daily trip agencies offers amasing possibilities to visit Meteoras, Pozar Thermal Bath, Beach at Neos Marmaras) at the Aristotelous square, whic is really nice and full of shops and bars, caffeterias. Worth to have a walk down to the sea. We tried the restaurant Savvikos (grill style) good price for very good quality + and had dinner at Padrino Bistro near to the White Tower so the view was amasing on the sea, the pasta and wine we ordered was top quality.

We only spent an evening and a half day in the city - enough only to get a feel for it, but not enough to visit all the places of interest that it has to offer. We ate dinner at the waterfront, took the mandatory selfies at the White Tower, visited the Triumphal Arch of Galerius and walked the leafy boulevards (Tsimiski and Egnatia). Had breakfast near Kapani Market and took a last stroll along the waterfront before we had to leave. I know the City has a lot more to offer, so I would recommend you spend a little more time than we did and visit the Archeological museum as well - after all the city has a very long history.

My stay there was superb! best value for money...an amazing Boutique Hotel right at the very heart of Thesalloniki. You pay for a 5 star quality but with a much lower price The mattresses were amazing (soft but not too soft) and so was the overall decor...very stylish, minimal and natural with an urban touch. Their bed sheets and towels were of excellent quality and so are all the soaps/shampoos/conditioners they offer to their guests. Staff was very friendly and accomodating and everything was spotless.

Excellent hotel at a great location. The staff was very welcoming and made sure we had a great stay. The rooms were large and clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was rich with different things each day. The hotel itself is in a quiet street and only a 10 minute walk from the city center where all the shops and restaurants are. We will definitely stay there again when we visit Thessaloniki.
