FAQs about hotels in Montreal

A Blend of the Urban and the Outdoors

Montreal is the second largest city in Canada and the entry point to Quebec province via Pierre Elliott Trudeau Airport. Montreal truly has it all. Divided into East and West by Boulevard Saint-Laurent, there are several districts to the city, each offering a distinct atmosphere.

Downtown is best explored on foot, as you weave your way through skyscrapers and visit museums such as the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. In the winter you can steer clear of icy paths by heading underground to the passages of the Underground City, full of shops, movie theaters and food courts.

From there, the metro will conveniently take you outwards in any direction you might want to go, from the historic Old Montreal to the hip café and restaurant culture of the Quartier Latin-Le Village.

In summer, stay closer to the historic quarter and head outdoors in Parc Jean-Drapeau on the St. Lawrence River islands of Île Sainte-Helen and Île Notre-Dame. If the weather isn’t good enough for rowing, water-skiing and beaches then head to Montreal Casino.

Whether you’re visiting for festivals or fashion, gastronomy or culture, with over 190 hotels and B&Bs with Booking.com you’ll find your perfect home away from home.

Big city with many different neighborhoods, each with its own highlights. Authentic French cuisine overpriced. Many good ethnic food options. Many good bistro/gastro pubs in The Plateau. Did a lot of biking for Tour de la Nuit and Tour de l'ille, enjoyed Montreal city bike friendly culture.

Great city! Small & manageable. Great parks, museums, festivals, restaurants, Metro system. Diverse! Great for biking. Not cheap but could be worse (like London, Paris, ...) July jazz fest has many great free outdoor concerts.

    ahhh montreal!

ahhh montreal! I wasnt even aware of half the events going on thats how many events there were the weekend of July 4th. We enjoyed the jazz festival, a boat ride, les trois monkeys games center. The new illusions museum is mediocre. Crescent street is the place to go for clubs and dining!

We took the Hop on - Hop Off bus for an iverview of the city. We visited the Archelogical and History museum which was very interesting and the cafe there was great with very good views over Montreal. Given a longer stay we would have taken a boat trip and possibly visited Quebec by tgrain.

    Mount Royal and chalet.

Mount Royal and chalet. Imax south shore, China town off St Laurent, St Paul Street South shore, St Catherine nite life in the village. The casino off of Drapeau metro stop. Mados drag show on St Catherine..Jean Talon market is a must. Metro is your best way to get around or use double decker. Duns near train station has good smoke meat.Use Mount Royal Metro stop. It's easier to climb Mount Royal to chalet. Eat breakfast at Tudy Fruitees basement of the Hyatt off St Catherine. Lots of graffiti from one end of St Laurent south to north. Zip line South Port. Ferris wheel south Port. Get map from tourist bureau of sites to see.

Montreal is a great city to visit, especially in the summer.

Montreal is a great city to visit, especially in the summer. Every weekend, there are some events that tourists can enjoy. I would definitely recommend visiting the old port for a relaxed walk by the St-Lawrence river. Montreal also has amazing eateries and if you like poutine, do visit La Banquise. As a city, Montreal is reasonably small and well-connected by public transit. Some tourist attractions to visit would be the St Joseph's oratory and the Notre-Dame Basilica in old port. Also, don't miss out on a light hike up the Mont-Royal. The sunrise view from the Chalet du Mont Royal is gorgeous and overlooks the downtown, which is amazing. But even if you are unable to catch the sunrise, the hike/walk through the beaver lake is pretty relaxing and fun.

Room was quite and kitchen was equipped. Very quite no noise, if you are travelling and you are looking to get easily in the centre, there is the bus service from airport to the hotel. 3 minute walk from the hotel every 10-15 minute you will get the bus to the airport. Perfect location; everything is close like supermarket, mall, downtown. Staffs were friendly, they will make your stay comfortable do not hesitate to ask for help. Breakfast is OK with that price but they did their best by providing fruits and brown and white bread. :)

Clean comfortable room with everything needed to have maximum flexibility and enjoyment when visiting Montreal. The hotel is very close to a subway station that serves three different lines (UQMA Berry), within walking distance of downtown / old Montreal, has parking (if required but honestly, not required) and the breakfast provided had all the basics plus fresh bagels / croissants! The room had everything you needed including kitchen, window that can open with screen.

Hotel has the best location bec of the proximity to the tourist spots like Notre Dame, Old Port Montreal, St Catherine Street, Chinatown, etc. Also, the Airport bus 747 will stop just close to the hotel. Its very walkable that we could just go keep going back the European Vibes spots.Across is also a grocery and a shopping mall. There's breakfast too, the price of hotel is fair enough. I would be staying here again when I come back visit MTL💗. Thank you.

We actually had two stays in this lovely apart hotel near downtown Montreal. Both apartments were immaculately clean and very well equipped. Decor and comfort excellent and Christina, the manager, was extremely helpful in accommodating our check in times for each of our stays. Location was excellent: 15.minutes walk to the main rail station and downtown. We'd definitely come again.
