What an absolutely dream-like property. This villa has views to die for-- overlooking the countryside for miles and miles. Located within walking distance of downtown Siena, this property is also far enough away from the busyness of the town center that it is mellow at night. The staff is gracious and welcoming and accommodating. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Two main problems - no A/C and poor internet. They advertise as a high quality internet but I had to use my roaming to work. The Air Conditioner did not work at all. Our room was almost 30 degrees, bizarre.

Location is wonderful and the owners are kind and communicative. It was a bit loud on the street on a Saturday night, but it’s in the center of the city and that is to be expected. Sunday night was quiet.

Surrounded by rolling hills and Chianti vineyards, Siena shines as a jewel of the Tuscan Renaissance, and has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Experience the famous Palio di Siena horse race, catch the pulse of the city at Piazza del Campo, visit the beautiful Duomo cathedral…and fall in love with this charming city!
Founded by Etruscans around 900 BC, the city was first conquered by Romans and later by Lombards. The Middle Ages saw it becoming the independent and flourishing Republic of Siena, until its annexation to the Grand Duchy of Tuscany.
The economic difficulties that followed turned out to be a blessing for the preservation of its historic center. Adorned with frescoes by Ghirlandaio and bass-reliefs by Donatello, Lorenzo Ghiberti, and Jacopo della Quercia, the Duomo represents the highest expression of this well-kept legacy. The shell-shaped Piazza del Campo, with the Palazzo Pubblico and the Gaia Fountain, is still the heart and soul of the city. Follow the labyrinth of narrow streets and passages that irradiate from there and you will be enchanted by its romantic atmosphere from ancient times.
The closest airports are Peretola Airport in Florence and Galileo Galilei International Airport in Pisa, though Guglielmo Marconi Airport in Bologna is also well connected. While planning your trip, don’t forget to check out the Siena accommodations deals on Booking.com!
Beautiful city, small enough to walk around. But came across a number of miserable locals. The reason I point this out is we have never experienced this in Italy before. It felt like the locals had had enough of visitors. This is fine but don’t market your city as a destination. Due this this type of reception we will not be returning.

The history was amazing.
The history was amazing. Retainment of Siena's traditions and the locals make this a very authentic and inviting place to visit. Siena provided a base for traveling out to other towns such as Montepulciano and Montalcino. Amazing Duomo to visit. Would definatley go back

A beautiful city.
A beautiful city. A very relaxed vibe after a very busy Florence. Gorgeous ancient streets and magnificent architecture and of course the Duoma and Campanile. Lovely restaurants and a great park were you can walk the City walls which afford tremendous views. Very accessible with excellent bus and train service to surrounding must see places. Easy place to wander around and the big bonus is they have kept the old part of Siena, largely traffic free, so it feels safe and it's much quieter than say Florence.

It’s not a big city so everything is accessible by foot-so long as you are reasonably mobile. Must see are the duomo and the major art gallery in the former hospital (just opposite the duomo). This is not stuffy or “worthy” and includes some astonishingly good modern art installations.
Nightlife is not for party animals. You can eat well at reasonable prices and hang out in the Campo with an aperol spritz (other similar amaros are available) and watch the swallows as the sun goes down. What’s not to like?

I absolutely fell in love with Siena.
I absolutely fell in love with Siena. This charming little town stole my heart with its winding streets, unique atmosphere, and timeless beauty. The local cuisine is delicious, and so is the Chianti wine. I could wander through its alleys for hours, feeling the spirit of its historic contrade. Although Siena looks like a place frozen in time, life here flows in perfect harmony with its historic charm. It doesn’t feel like stepping back into the past, but rather like witnessing how the locals seamlessly blend tradition with the present day — preserving the spirit of this ancient town. Unlike Florence, Siena isn’t overrun by tourists, which only adds to its authentic character.

Easy to walk around if you are reasonably fit.
Easy to walk around if you are reasonably fit. That way you don’t miss anything . Don’t stick to main centre- walk all around . Also we went on the bus to San Gimingnano which was easy to use contactless or with a pre bought ticket from the ticket machine

The room is spacious and clean. We had a balcony with seats for 2; that was nice.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. We had reserved a parking spot at the hotel, which felt as a luxury - as Siena is a popular spot for tourists and parking spots are rare.
One can reach the hotel by car, one cannot get closer to the (ancient) city. With a aprrox. 10 min. walk one reaches the central square (Il Campo).
Almost everything was great except for parking policy. The service at the front desk did everything they could to solve any inconvenience. Breakfast (choice and quality) was better in comparison with other hotels we stayed in in this part of Italy. It is probably in the best location in the city (close to the center and great as starting point for the daytrips).
I would come definitely again.
This place is unique, I don't think somewhere else in Italy you get a villa for that price so close to one of the legendary cities! The view of the western side is amazing, getting that sunset every day is really great. The hosts Alessia and Giorgio were very nice. You can walk to the old town of Siena (takes a bit though)
Very boutique hotel, so friendly, historic building, stunning views and amazing rooms! Close to everything but also nicely quiet in a beautiful street. Sunrises and sunsets, absolutely the place to stay when coming to Siena🧡
Good value
Lower than expected price
