St John Fortress

An ancient building on the mountainside, its construction began in the 9th century. The winding fortress wall in some places reaches a thickness of 20 metres. Even 300 Turkish ships could not overcome this defence. The observation deck of the fortress is located at a height of 284 metres and offers a magnificent view. You can climb up to it, as well as to the small church of St John, via a narrow path of 1400 steps.

King Nicholas Museum

Our Lady of the Rocks

The main plateau of the island is man-made, for 200 years every passing ship had to drop a stone on the reef. Now the Church of the Mother of God is located on it.
