About Zurich

The almost impeccable cleanliness of the streets, the cool restraint, the high standards and standard of living – all of this can be found in Zurich, which sits on the banks of the Limmat River. There is a spirit of age-old order and a long-established respectable way of life.

The architecture in the historic part of Zurich is not characterised by luxury – everything here serves practicality and reasonableness. The thousand-year-old facades of the Fraumünster and Grossmünster cathedrals are monumental but not opulent, the stone paving of the squares harmonise with the beauty of the Bahnhofstrasse facades, and behind the closed doors of Swiss banks the fates of the world are decided.

Zurich doesn’t need to flaunt itself. It is a city of power and boundless wealth that hides behind the walls of obscenely expensive boutiques, watch shops and modest facades of residential neighbourhoods.
