Tourist Attractions in Bosnia and Herzegovina

The most interesting and beautiful tourist sites in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Photos, reviews, descriptions, and links to maps

About Bosnia and Herzegovina

Despite its good location, mild climate and many attractions, for a long time Bosnia and Herzegovina could not compete with its more famous tourist neighbours. But in recent years, this small country has been attracting more and more visitors.

Tourists from all over the world are enticed by ski resorts, wonderful beaches of Neum, picturesque landscapes and original local cuisine. Bosnia and Herzegovina is deservedly called the most eastern of the European countries. Catholic and Orthodox churches here peacefully neighbour mosques, and medieval buildings and streets – with new buildings of recent years.

Philosophical lovers should visit the assassination site of Archduke Franz Ferdinand on the Latin Bridge and Marshal Tito’s fortified bunker in a cave near Drvar.

As a souvenir of your visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, you can bring back very beautiful embroidered textiles, leather clothes and shoes, as well as various delicacies such as baklava, sujuk biscuits, strong fruit rakija or local wine.
