Lviv has so much cultural heritage that words hardly do it justice. It was under Polish, Habsburg and Soviet rule before rejoining Ukraine, and all have left dramatic marks. No fewer than 5 cathedrals grace cobbled streets with attractive parks and elegant buildings worthy of Vienna.
Potocki Palace is a grand former nobleman’s home and the Palace of Siemienski-Lewickis is equally impressive. Kornyakt Palace is a Renaissance jewel that became a royal residence, and the Ensemble of Ruska Street is an eclectic collection of buildings contributing to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed historic centre.
Lviv University is Ukraine’s oldest and was part of an intellectual circle attracting immigrants which earned the city the nickname of ‘Little Paris’. Shevchenka Avenue is named after Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko and a statue of him sits on a square housing the celebrated Lviv Theatre of Opera and Ballet and Lviv National Museum.
The town hall on Market Square is surrounded by colourful buildings housing shops and cafes, and the castle ruins overlook all of this from High Castle Park.
This is just a snapshot of what the city offers and Booking.com’s great accommodation range helps you discover this and more. The luxury city centre hotels, cheap hostels and apartments near Arena Lviv Euro 2012 football stadium are all easily accessible from the airport.

Lviv has so many beautiful churches - beautiful and very old. There are plenty of cultural/intellectual activities and shopping for those who like that. Civic life is vibrant. So much history; charming architecture, on a human scale. Oddly, very few handrails.

Ok lets be straight up - Ukraine is at War and the russians have no barriers to attacking civilian areas. HOWEVER I have stayed twice in Lviv and it is a vibrant busy city, comparable with any other city breaks throughout Europe. I have experienced Air Alerts there which are chilling for some one who lives safely in UK, but the Ukrainians check their Apps, guage the advice and just continue on. I suspect that Lviv being so close to the Polish border makes it safer than other more central / Eastern ukrainian cities. This is a tough one, at present i would hesitate to take my family there - only because of the russian aggression, however, as i sit with a Latte and croissant on a sunny tuesday morning watching the world go by, i keep reconsidering. This is a city and a country that deserves support, and faith, i will be back and one day my family and i will be back in a beautiful Ukrainian Lviv. Slava Ukraini

Lviv is a typical modem European city. It has got all you need when you want to spend quality time as a traveler. Monuments are epic, the vibe is cool (many young people around), food is delicious and people helpful. Hopefully, the orcs´ messing and bloody war will end as a disaster of theirs.

Despite the challenging situation, Lviv still has a lot to offer to visitors, the cuisine, attractions and architecture, opportunities for exciting excursions to nature and historic attractions nearby. Visitors should heed the official advice and come prepared for some inconveniences and challenges associated with the current situation as the curfew, possible power interruptions, absence of air connections and such.

ANCIENT architecture evokes romantic thoughts.
ANCIENT architecture evokes romantic thoughts. Along with this, there are many parks and green areas, where in the summer you can hide from the heat in the coolness. It often rains in autumn. Many lights of the city are reflected in the puddles. The buildings are illuminated in the dark, which gives the cityscape a fairy-tale feel. Cozy little cobblestone streets with many cafes, the smell of coffee...
And also many sculptures decorate ancient houses and temples.

I can highly recommend this hotel. I’ve visited almost 40 countries and have stayed in 5 stars hotels quite often and I can say this this hotel is better than many 5 stars hotels I’ve visited. I’m going definitely to stay exactly at the same hotel when i’m in Lviv. The room number was absolutely big, with everything needed, service is great and personal is educated and with a good upbringing, breakfast is amazing, location is quiet, in the center of the city. I felt myself like at home and even better.
The place was amazing, in the center of Lviv where you are close to the best restaurants, bars and museums. Need to remind the future guests that the hotel has a great restaurant, nice wine list and cocktail bar.
Staff was amazing and very polite, the housekeeping also, they made us feel very comfortable. Room, just no words because it was exceptional. I thank a lot the whole staff for the stay.
The hotel has good location in the city center, and also has private parking (but it was very small, and not all lots are comfortable to park in). You can expect traffic jams in peak times to get to the hotel by car.
Staff is polite and professional. My room was very clean and quite comfortable, and I enjoyed the breakfast.
Good location, helpful staff, very clean, fair price, good facilities and they give you a torch in case of power cuts during current situation in Ukraine. The best place to stay if you are visiting Lviv soon.
Tiny apartment but fine for one person, good TV with lots of channels which is not usual in Ukraine.Ground floor located is perfect unless you prefer to run up and down stairs the whole day...
