The room was super clean and new / bed size was big enough. I liked that the front entrance and doors are only accessible to guests—felt very quiet, private and safe. The location is great too, just a short walk from the station, so getting around, especially to Hongdae, was super easy.

Seoul has good and affordable public transport. We found the city interesting with good tourist attractions, and the locals were helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the DMZ, traditional villages, and palaces tours.
After leaving a disappointing “3 star” hotel, we stayed at a very good IHG “3 star” hotel and had an excellent stay there.
We recommend visiting Seoul, but select accommodation wisely!

Big difference from only 2 years ago.
Big difference from only 2 years ago. Stayed in the same area but it has changed so much in 2 years - for the worse - it was unreal. Still love South Korea, but it's changed. People are not as friendly as before. Shops and restaurants are now seem only interested in your money. Did not have any major issues, with the exception of being taken advantaged of at a restaurant and we weren't treated as well as we were just 2 years back. Few areas we didn't feel comfortable walking around. Lot more open drinking. Just...........different.

The people that I met were helpful and kind.
The people that I met were helpful and kind. I had one lady offer me a plastic mac, another lady gave me her umbrella. I loved the art work that's displayed all over the city. Seoul is clean no litter and as I was travelling alone I felt very safe going out at night and using the underground.

Seoul is a great big city with something for everyone, there is history, architecture, shopping and entertainment. I am vegetarian and that was a challenge to find restaurants however the people were absolutely amazing, lovely and helpful. I felt very safe ( I don't go out pass 9 pm as I am a solo traveller and I don't drink) and there are many options to visit wether you are single, a couple or travelling with kids. I REALLY ENJOYED ALL SEOUL HAD TO OFFER.

It was an excellent city for me to visit.
It was an excellent city for me to visit. I enjoyed the ancient palaces next to the more modern skyscrapers. The food was good and the public transport was easy to use. The prices were more affordable and I would go back.

It was my first visit to Seoul and I sometimes felt that I needed a friend to take photos. The Korean BBQ is for two people min. One restaurant owner made an exception for me so he got the waiter to assist with cooking the meat. Kimchi, water or coffee are the must haves on the table in any restaurants, I had one bottle of Soju for the occasion and the photo. Be prepared to walk long distances. One can easily get carried away by just looking at all the beautiful buildings or sit on a street bench and watch the night skyline over the river. Some streets have swing benches so you can swing whilst resting or sipping on ice americano. Getting lost in Seoul can become an unexpected adventure. You’ll find yourself at a place that you planned to visit only the next day. Buying tickets online can become a loss or an advantage. The weather is unpredictable so your planned outdoor trip can sometimes become a futile one. Most discounted tickets purchased online are advertised as non refundable. Watch out for online ticket sales. You will get a confirmation and message saying for advice and directions contact the owner, after calling you will speak to someone who doesn’t speak English or an answering system that’s not programmed for you to select a language of your choice.
Seoul is big, bold and beautiful. Buildings are tall and streets are wide.
Many places I would have liked to visit but one month was not enough.
My advice to others, don’t go to a place like Seoul as a solo traveler.
You will have more fun when you’re with someone, it will be less cost effective and you will see and do much more. My experience was very good and I have beautiful memories of the places I have visited in South Korea. I also went to Busan and took a flight from there to Jeju island. A must to visit when in South Korea.

See reviews by guests who stayed at hotels in Seoul
1. It was a warm room. The hotel is very expensive around Myeongdong, but this guesthouse is very cheap compared to the hotel.
2. As in the review, the boss also made Korean kimchi pancakes for breakfast.
3. It's close to Myeongdong Station and there's a 7-Eleven convenience store right in front of the accommodation.
4. The lights are on on the street all evening, so it's nice to be able to go around alone.
5. The Namsan Tower was right behind me, so I could see it from my room.
Good breakfast, cozy room, close to the exhibition center.
Turn right out of the hotel to eat is more expensive, turn left and walk 100 meters to eat is cheaper.
Turn left out of the hotel and walk about 150 meters, there is a local Korean supermarket.
Take the airport bus 6703, get off at the POSCO building station and walk to the hotel.
Great location: the place never sleeps, and at all times there is something to do. Very popular with students.
The staff is very polite, they greet you every time they see you and they’re trying their best to help you with anything.
The hotel used to be amazing and now it seems to be poorly maintained which is common in South Korea.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Daily housekeeping. Close to everything. Highly recommended for people like me, who loves reading negative reviews before deciding where to stay. I didn't regret my decision. One of the best modern hotels in Seoul with a reasonable price, if you book early.
The place was so convenient to find food and go shopping and it's much cheaper to shop from that area compared to myeongdong market..
Will definitely recommend to stay there because I'll stay there again if I go back to Korea...
