Having an SUV, I wanted to avoid driving in the Verona city center. The BW was a find. We got two rooms with breakfast for the family. We had free parking. There was a bus stop across the street that took us into town. We walked to a wonderful dinner from the hotel. There are several nearby options. The staff was very helpful. Breakfast exceeded expectations. There was a delightful selection of pastries, fruit, jams, a tub of nuttella with a pump that made me fall in love again! There were also a few hot items. The wonderful staff helped us with the fancy Nespresso machine. It was great. It was also cool to take a short drive to their local Eataly. One more time I'll mention that the staff was friendly and helpful. Wonderful stay.

FAQs about hotels in Verona

A Shakespearean Fairytale

A darling of Shakespeare, beautiful Verona is the literary home of Romeo and Juliet. The medieval families of Montague and Capulet immortalized in the tragic play did actually exist and some buildings relating to the Montagues are still present.

Sorry to disappoint, but the place purporting to have been Juliet's house in Verona was not actually where she lived. However, it’s still worth suspending reality for a while and stepping out onto the balcony to see if Romeo turns up.

Another of the must-see Verona sights is the Arena, a largely intact Roman amphitheater which is now the spectacular setting for outdoor summer operas. Smaller Roman relics include the stone bridge that crosses the river by the Roman theater whose remains are partly beneath a house.

The city’s narrow streets house many cafes and restaurants which have cheaper fare than the touristy ones by the Arena, although admittedly the views are less impressive. Life in Verona is laid back and elegant, so expect to see some well-heeled Italians on a post-dinner passeggiata.

Verona Airport is a little out of town, so you’ll need to take a bus to get to your Verona hotel, apartment or B&B. Book with Booking.com for the best choice.

Lovely city, very walkable. Really enjoyed seeing the arena and Juliet's balcony, as well as the view from the castle. Amazing gelato, views from the Castlevecchio bridge and lots of great places to eat. Easy to visit Lake Garda on the bus for a day trip too.

Verona is a fabulous city with lots of cultural and artistic attractions. The opera at the Arena di Verona was sensational. There are lots of great restaurants and bars, and it is easy to get around on foot or by public transport. Don't miss a ride on the little tourist train that takes you round the compact centre of the city!

Verona is a great city to visit for three or four days and there is much to see and do including of course sitting outside in one of the many cafes and restaurants. Castelvecchio Museum is well worth an extended visit. The Arenais older than the Colisseum in Rome and is fascinating to visit. The operas put on there are a once in a lifetime experience.

Verona is a lovely city with great architecture, superb choice of restaurants and some good shopping. Easy to get around and walk to most places if you’re staying central, like we were. Also great to attend an Opera if it works out during your stay - always an added bonus.

4 days was perfect time to take in the sights, and relax in between. A experience of a lifetime to see the opera at the arena. Everyin verona is within walking dis so very easy to get around. It was very hot in the town when we stayed, so lucky our apartment had good air con, and was very central, we were able to pop back for a cool down and a rest. We booked a small food walking tour which was a great way to find hidden gems and local spots, our guide was born in verona and was able to tell us about attitudes and culture as well as the best local places to eat and shop.

Lovely room, modern and pristine clean, nice bathroom and all amenities were there that i needed. Easy walk less than 10 mins from/to the train station, great for my needs as touring italy by train. The walk into Verona Old City took me around 17 mins which was of no concern for me, also all flat so an easy walk.a great location if planning to use Verona as your base to visit Lake Garda and Venice as i did. If i return to Verona will certainly use this hotel again.

We stayed in the room for the one night and for that purpose it was great. Hotel has an underground parking which is very convenient if you drive. The bathroom was of decent size and really good quality (it seems that this is a standard across Italy). The breakfast was OK, but nothing too spectacular. It is a bit far from the town centre but it still reachable by foot in around 20 minutes and the walk has nice views. All in all we really enjoyed our stay.
