I really like the hotel design and concept, modern and clean, with a huge shared kitchen where guests would cook and eat their meals in the evening. It’s also close to the train station and a supermarket. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely return.

Central location. On-site staff was charming. Much was done remotely, but worked well. Appreciated accommodation of my very early check-in. Safe, locked bicycle parking in their nearby garage. Breakfast basket far exceeded my expectations.

Raise your wine glass and toast the beautiful city of Bordeaux on the banks of the Garonne River. Having produced wine since the 8th century, it’s fair to say the second largest wine producer in the world is worth the trip for the vin alone. The city itself has spread outwards, rather than upwards, and the result is a very pretty town center, filled with stone mansions and terraced housing comparable to Paris.
Cultured Bordeaux is filled with museums such as the Museum of Contemporary Art and Musee D'Aquitaine. The streets provide an equally interesting exhibition of fine architecture including the Victory Arch and the Aquitaine Bridge. On the shores of the river lies the Les Chartrons district, which is a blend of ferry boat rides, picturesque views and buzzing nightlife while the bars and cafes in the La Victoire district are frequented by students.
A tour of the famous vineyards is probably on the itinerary and this can be accomplished by visiting the wineries and châteaux privately or as part of a tour. You can also worship the wine gods at the Bordeaux Wine Festival held during the summer.
Visitors can easily make the short trip to the heart of Bordeaux from the Bordeaux-Mérignac Airport. With 70 hotels and bed & breakfasts available, Booking.com allows you to discover the vibrant and friendly heart of the vineyard region.
Bordeaux was a very nice city to visit. People were friendly and helpful.
The transport system was very good and easy to use.
We did an all-day wine tour which was too long. We would recommend a half day tour.
Also, the river tour is completely overrated.

Loved the tram system, so easy to get around, the tram line A goes from the airport to the centre of town.
The buildings are beautiful and the walking streets have so much history and are easy to navigate. The open air market on Sundays near the river was amazing, it was the highlight of our stay.

We like museums et-al and Bordeaux is stuffed with them.
We like museums et-al and Bordeaux is stuffed with them. Public transport is exceptional (and I mean exceptional ) as well as good value at seventeen euros for seven days (June 2025) You don't have to be interested in the wine industry there is plenty of other stuff ! Architecture is darned good especially out at Pessac with the Le Courbusier estate.

A city full of history and wonderful architecture both new and old. A petit Paris with less overcrowding. A rich culture of wine production and a wonderful museum to celebrate it. The east bank is a contrast to the west and should be explored. A complex city that takes time to uncover.

We are often in Bordeaux and we were there for a wine event. If anyone is reading this before August 31, 2025, you need to be aware that the tram system is not working properly and the lines from the train station to Quinconces are not running. They have buses instead, but they are overcrowded and not nearly frequent enough for the amount of passengers. From Quinconces to the Cité du Vin the trams are running. We like Bordeaux a lot and there are great restaurants aplenty and loads of things to do.

There are a lot of things to do at Bordeaux, we were spoilt for choice, lots of restaurants offering both French and international cuisine. The city felt safe to walk around in. There are trams and buses that transport you around easily, or you can walk or hire a bike/scooter.
Great architecture, excellent shops both chain stores, deluxe brands and small boutiques and independent stores, lots of bars and even a real Irish pub in the centre of town!

You get what you pay for, we just needed a place to sleep while we were driving through France and this hotel isn't too central so it is perfect for somebody stopping through. In saying that, we were just a ten-minute walk from the tram so if you don't mind getting some public transport it is worth it. You can also see a beautiful view if you are lucky on the C tram line. The instant coffee from the machine in reception isn't too shabby either and is relatively cheap!
We were looking for a special hotel stay for our weekend trip to Bordeaux: and Villa Victor Louis more than satisfied us! Beautiful rooms and great service at a really excellent price (in fact, we couldn't quite believe the value of our money - it felt like a 5 star hotel but at the price point of a 3 star one. The staff were really helpful with local recommendations and also allowed us to leave our luggage before and after check-out, which is always appreciated
The location of the hotel is fantastic - it’s right in central Bordeaux with easy access to the waterfront and city centre with lots shops/cafes. The staff at Hotel des Soeurs (where you check in/out and can store luggage) were very helpful and friendly. You can have a nice coffee at the cafe there. It is a pretty quick walk to get to the tram which will take you straight to the airport.
this is super great apartment! the best that we've ever rented in France so far. It exceeded our expectations. and it was firs apartment where there was no this feeling that host is trying to save on you: there was good quality soap, breakfast included, bed sheets and towels were white and clean.
As many have said before, this hotel would be nothing without its incredible staff. I’ve yet to stay in a hotel in France with better staff. They are incredible. The music at night is superb. It’s funky with a great vibe.
