A paradise of turquoise blue, lush vegetation, and entertainment, Pattaya is a kind of Eden: sometimes as peaceful as its temples and coral banks, and sometimes loose and edgy.
Pattaya Beach is the liveliest area of the city. It runs parallel to the center of the city and the entertainment area, reaching its end near the racy Walking Street. It includes shopping venues like the CentralFestival Pattaya Beach, one of the biggest shopping malls in Asia.
Jomtien Beach, south of Pratamnak Hill, is the more tranquil side of the city. It's made up of beachside Pattaya accommodations, private apartments, shops, bars and restaurants.
Pattaya’s offshore islands of Ko Larn, Ko Krok or Ko Sak are perfect places to enjoy a more relaxed atmosphere, pristine beaches and great scuba diving. To fully get in touch with Thai culture, be sure not to miss the Wat Khao Phra Bat Temple and the Temple of Truth.

Yes stories are true about sleaze but easy to avoid if travelling as a family or not looking for that sort of holiday. If you want a quiet holiday don't stay in Pattaya Central. Recommend the beer garden restaurant at sunset right on the ocean, extensive menu and good prices. The entrance is down a walkway just before you hit walking street. Also recommend the open zoo, it's about an hour and a half drive from Pattaya zoo but we'll worth it. We hired a golf cart to get around it as it's huge. If you hire a golf buggy do not leave your belongings on it while looking at the animals as the wild monkeys will help themselves!

Terrible, would never visit again, prostitution everywhere I know that’s what Pattaya is famous for certainly not the beach which isn’t at all nice.
Broken footpaths, and bags of rubbish everywhere rats ect!
Dreadful place
Many places to visit in Thailand that are beautiful, sadly Pattaya isn’t one.

Has a reputation as a seedy place - and yes, there is certainly that, depending on what street you're on or what you're looking for - but there is plenty of good food, friendly cafes, nightlife and clubs that are not go-go's. Nearby areas such as Pratumnak and Na Jomtien offer good times, too, including some great markets and quieter beaches, less high-energy than Pattaya, slightly less touristy, and slightly less expensive.

Only actually stayed for four nights in Pattaya visiting family from Australia , there are hundreds of bars wherever you go , once you have gone down one street , it,s the same as any other. Food and drinks are very cheap , you can certainly survive on a budget , even a classy resteraunt on the beach front costs little more than £10 for a meal and drinks
The 10 baht hop on hop off taxi/buses are a god send for short distances
but even proper taxis are very cheap

I first went to Pattaya in 2007 since then I always visited Phuket. On this occasion I decided to visit Pattaya as the flights to BkK were relatively cheap. Pattaya has changed so much. Far too many tourists from Indian and Arabic countries. Walking street is full of Indian and Russian clubs. I don’t think I’ll be back I’d rather go to Phuket where everything is a bit more chilled and relaxed

Very central location, relaxed spot and good pick up for taxis and motorbikes. walking distance to all city areas...bars and restaurants really close. Can eat local at cafe, bar on the roof- sit in the pool. Swimming pool closes early evening, but good relaxing deckchairs...limited space.
small library available for book swap. Currency exchange on site and 100 meters away from more. Very convenient for lots of restaurants and bars.

The hotel is just a stone throw from the beach. kids friendly swimming pool is very happening and the roadside restaurant "Fat CoCo" has a great ambience and it's interior decor is 2nd to none. Central marina only 6 mins walk by the alley towards 2nd road. Central festival 4 mins and mike shopping center 6 mins in bath bus through one way beach road.
Everything is good considering the location and room rates. Walking distance to beach, shopping malls, restaurants, massage shops, bars. Easy to get public transport, motorcycle taxis, pickup truck (songteaw), Bolt taxis, Grab Taxis,
Breakfast buffet starting from 7.00am to 11.00am.
Guest friendly hotel...
We stayed in a spacious corner room with two balconies which was great, beach views out both sides. Hotel is located close to the beach road, easy walk to bars shops etc. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good variety of food for breakfast.
Excellent hotel, very new and clean, and fantastic pool. Location is great if you do not want to be staying close to the nightlife in Pattaya Central. Great food options nearby and Terminal 21 is a 10 min walk away.
