Breakfast was awesome! Full of varieties from hot to cold options, lots of choices of breads, cheese, fruits, coffee, tea, juices, etc. Also, certain times of the day and/or night, you can enjoy the live classic music in the lobby like piano. Plus, 5 min. walking distance to public transport (metro/bus). We really enjoyed our stay.

Awesome location and great breakfast. Nice spa facilities - a bit expensive though! The staff was quite accommodating too, as we got a changed new room after asking for a room with better view after initially getting a room with view blocked by walls.

FAQs about hotels in Prague

Discover the Magic of Prague

The Czech capital is nothing short of magical, with Prague’s countless bridges, cathedrals, domes and castles reflected in the Vltava River. Thankfully, the city escaped most of WWII’s destruction, leaving the rich history and fairytale facade of this Bohemian city intact.

Prague Castle is the largest ancient castle complex in the world and the St. Vitus Cathedral is a stunning example of Gothic architecture. The Cathedral’s lookout tower rewards those willing to climb 300 steps with the best view of the city.

Walking through the cobblestone streets of the Mala Strana district will bring you to the Charles Bridge. Prague’s beautiful 14th-century monument buzzes with musicians and local crafts sales. The Astronomical Clock, Tyn Church, and Storch building of Old Town compete for popularity with the neoclassical Estate Theatre and the Czech National Museum.

The cafes and restaurants of Wenceslas Square are great for people watching and the Franz Kafka house, the Old New Synagogue and Frank Gehry’s Dancing House are perfect for soaking up history.

Flights arriving at Vaclav Havel International Airport will be in the city center after a short subway ride. For historic hotels, cheap hostels or charming apartments head to Booking.com for nearly 700 accommodations in Prague.

July can be very busy in Prague, we stayed on the other side of the river which was way more quiet and you can either walk or take reasonable priced public transportation into the old town. Excellent and far cheaper restaurants are also located on the other side of the river and less busy

Great place-- amazing architecture and culture. Relatively cheap compared to West Europe, even if you consider the 'tourist pricing' at some spots (Old Square, some riverside spots, places near the Castle). Places that charge local prices are downright cheap.

    We loved all of Prague!

We loved all of Prague! Highlights included the beautiful Old Town, Prague Castle, Charles Bridge, and the various squares scattered throughout the city, each full of charm and atmosphere. We felt that we did not need to book a tour as everything was close enough for us to explore ourselves. Where did you eat? - As Muslim travellers, we needed either vegetarian or halal food. We found the best Turkish placde just by our hotel, they served the tastiest food. This was a small hut with just 4 small tables outside, but delicious hotel. For lunch we usually got a pizza for one of the many Italian restaurants. We tried a few local restaurants in Old Town and near the hotel — all offering great Czech and international food. There are plenty of cosy cafés and stylish restaurants nearby, so you’re spoilt for choice! s it easy to get around Prague? Yes, extremely easy! Most attractions are within walking distance, but trams and public transport are efficient, clean, and very affordable if you prefer not to walk. What are some great activities for groups of friends like yours? Exploring the historic landmarks, taking scenic river cruises, and enjoying street performances in the squares. There’s something for everyone in Prague.

Well, it is one of the most beautiful and most visited capitals of the world. Of course, it is worth visiting it. Too crowded for my taste, an excessively high number of tourists is not exactly the recommended situation.

The city is beautiful and have something to offer for every taste. We did enjoy the visit completely as we have planed, but wished we could have it little more off the season. It is on limit to be overcrowded. Only thing that travelers must be aware of is the currency and the prices. Prices are not always transparent, tipping is not the must, but in some restaurants you feel obliged to. You can pay with card everywhere but the prices are sometimes 'fixed' to drain additional 10% from you. Best to exchange in one of lot licensed places.

An amazing hotel! We will definitely recommend it to friends and family! The location is excellent, near Prague Main Station and a 20-minute walk from the Old Town Square. The location is the best in Prague in the midddle of the old town square which is pedestrian with lots of restaurants and most importantly absolutely opposite the world famous clock. After a long day of sight seeing we would have a glass of wine in our hands and watch the clock chime from the comfort of the Grand Hotel Prague's gorgeous lounge. A sight that absolutely must not be missed.
