The room was good! After a whole day walking, we went to the hotel and felt at home.
The breakfast was generous.
The location is just in front of the metro station.
The lobby and the restaurant were good.
The staff was always ready to help.
We arrived really late from the airport, and there was no problem doing the check-in.

Room was huge not at all what we expected. As we were not able to enjoy the "included breakfast"as we had an early flight, the front desk made up a 'breakfast box to go' for us. Never have been offered this before at any other hotels. Very much appreciated. Would definitely book this hotel again.

I was in Lisbon 11 years ago and loved every moment of the two weeks. I planned to move here eventually. Now there are too many tourists to make it easy to get around, the restaurant staff and tuktuk drivers are very aggressive. It has gotten expensive. The quiet spots are filled with mobile bars and loud dance music.
The airport is a miserable experience and signage in the train and bus stations were nonexistent. Many of the Portuguese people tried very hard to be helpful and pleasant but the tourism is wearing them thin.
Sadly, I will not return to what had been my dream country.

Lisbon is a beautiful city, good value for money and ideal for a 3 day visit. The locals are helpful and there's always something to do. On a negative note, I didn't like the increase in people openly offering drugs on the streets since I first visited 10 years ago. I think that the authorities in Lisbon are letting things slip. That's a pity because they have a great city.

Loved it but did find walking all the hills difficult at times, we were determined not to use public transport but push ourselves. Definitely recommend trainers as sandals are slippery on the cobbled streets. The indoor food market was fabulous and also the sea food restaurants. Wouldn’t go to Sintra again as it was just too busy the day we visited

My stay at Dear Lisbon - Bordalo Palace Chiado was absolutely excellent from start to finish. The room was incredibly clean, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable — everything felt well thought-out and tidy. It was clear that attention to detail is a top priority here.
The architecture of the hotel is truly stunning. The building perfectly blends classic charm with modern comfort, and every corner is full of character and artistic touches. The atmosphere is elegant yet welcoming, and it really captures the spirit and beauty of Lisbon.
The staff were outstanding — warm, friendly, and professional. From the moment I walked in, the welcome was so genuine and kind that I immediately felt at home. Everyone went out of their way to make sure my stay was enjoyable.
The location is also perfect. Right in the heart of Chiado, it's close to great restaurants, shops, cafes, and key sights. Whether you're exploring the city or just relaxing, everything is within easy reach.
Overall, I would rate this hotel a 10/10. I highly recommend Dear Lisbon - Bordalo Palace Chiado to anyone visiting the city. It was truly a memorable and enjoyable experience, and I would definitely love to stay here again.

Stick to the coast and the expensive restaurants and shopping places if you visit Portugal. Downtown smells like sewage and knocks you over every few feet. Lisbon has nice big squares near the water. Otherwise, I recommend avoiding the place entirely. Faro is even better by the coast because there are decent beaches. We stayed by the marina in Faro, which was nice, but about 20% more expensive than Lisbon. I would not return to Portugal, but I listened to friends who all thought Portugal was cheap and fun. It wasn't. And Lisbon was the low point because of where we stayed for the last two days of our trip. We had a slightly better time the first three days because we stayed in an apartment, but you walk steep hills until you baa like a mountain goat. Best thing about Lisbon is they have the cheapest souvenirs. Cheaper than Porto and Faro. If you go, stay for three days and spend them in Cascais and Sintra.

Lot of sightseeing and attractive things to see.
Lot of sightseeing and attractive things to see. Fantastic food and restaurants in the city. Convenient public transportation, Taxi and uber services.
In LIS airport, the checking-in line is too long, the check-in waiting time is too long that are compared with other similar or even much bigger airports, It looks chaos in the hall of the airport. LIS airport needs improve its organization work and services.

This hotel is an experience which defeats all competition in its price range, and even above, and all airbnb's in a city. Since prices of housing are really high in Lisbon, this was not a cheap stay. But if you have to spend this amount of money, no other option makes more sense. Great location (in between 2 metro stops, 30 minutes from airport, 10 minutes from the coast); great staff, very helpful, kind; good room cleaning; breakfast is not really quality, but the bakery and sweets are good. Bed was huge, pillows were good. WiFi 6.
Nice spacious rooms. Bit outside of the city centre, but with the metro very close this is a perfect location for a Lisbon city trip. Comfortable beds.
No sound from outside. Which surprised me, as it's a busy street and aircraft fly really low over the hotel.
Easy reachable from the airport. I used the metro, which in hindsight was not even the best solution. Metro takes about 40 minutes, where the bus would take only 15.
Reception personnel were quick for check-in and check-out. Extremally helpful people, we lost our luggage at Lisbon Airport and my husband asked them to follow up the procedure and they did it in a very professional way until we received our luggage. Room was big and the bathroom shower one of the best, no water clogged and no water on the bathroom floor which I face in most hotels!
The breakfast was one of the best we have had staying in different 5 stars hotels in Lisbon. The girl making the hot beverages was very service minded and an expert in her field. The best cappuccino and hot chocolate we have every tasted in Portugal. She is a keeper !! :)
One of the best hotels that I have been to, and I can say that the 5 stars it has are well deserver. Great location, friendly staff and cleanliness on-point were all as good as you can expect.
