I stayed at Hotel BellaNapoli and absolutely loved it. The location is perfect - just steps away from the metro and close to some of Naples’ most iconic pastry shops. The room was set up with great attention to detail: strong water pressure in the shower, super comfortable beds, and everything arranged to make the stay easy and pleasant.
But what really stood out was the staff. They are true professionals who genuinely care about their work and go the extra mile to help with anything you need. You can feel they do their job with heart.
Also, the breakfast was delicious — way beyond expectations. And when you take into account the price and the location, this place is a real gem.

Undulating beside the Bay of Naples, this UNESCO World Heritage city is a maze of narrow streets and cable cars. Although it has an incredible array of churches and monuments, it’s the sheer energy, pulsating life, and buzz of Vespas that really make it exciting.
At first you could mistake this for chaos, but given time you’ll see there’s method to the madness. The stunning, curved portico of the Royal Palace. The perfectly thin pizzas which originated here. The red pepper trinkets to ward off the evil eye adorning practically every old town doorway. All are crafted to perfection.
While all this goes on at street level, below is Underground Naples – a series of tunnels you can visit and even a Graeco-Roman theater which you stop at before emerging into someone’s house!
Head up to the Posillipo area for stunning views of the city and Vesuvius in the distance. The volcano itself can be visited and looking down from it towards Pompeii and Herculaneum gives context to the thousands of artifacts now on display in the city’s National Archaeological Museum.
As for accommodations, Booking.com has a wealth of hotels near Naples Airport, old town B&Bs, city center apartments and more to help you make the most of your stay.
The city is Charming and historical. Great to walk in.
The city is Charming and historical. Great to walk in. Lots going on and lots to see like The beautiful Umberto mall, the Grand Palace, and the Sansevero Chapel museum. Reasonable prices when shopping and at restaurants. The people are warm and friendly. We stayed one day in Naples when we arrived. We then went to the Amalfi Coast then back to Naples for 3 more days before flying home.

Amazing experience for people looking to visit a city with charisma. Great food, lots of culture, and beautiful nature, but still not too crowded. Keep in mind the city is very loud and busy, so if you're looking mainly for a relaxing holiday I recommend something less intense. Unless you want to go swimming, I recommend April/May or September/October, when the heat is not so intense. Definitely also visit Pompeii and the Amalfi coast.

To begin, we decided to stay in the historic district because that's what google recommended, but we noticed later that there were no visible hotels. My initial impression of Naples was rather poor, there was trash everywhere as I walked along the city streets, the traffic was chaotic and there were several moments where I felt a bit unsafe. However, the more time I spent in the city, the more I experienced the heart as I went out to taste the local cuisine. The people of Napoli are extremely friendly and warm, the food is some of the best I've had in my many years of life. If you do decide to go to Napoli, my family and I recommend going to Vicus Trattoria Napoletana, it's off the beaten path but it's worth the visit.

Naples was just our entry way to Italy.
Naples was just our entry way to Italy. In the future I'd probably try to fly into Rome or another airport instead. Naples is a very gritty, noisy, crowded city. The drivers and driving is insane there. The taxis are very expensive compared to other cities. I'm sure there are nice areas, but we didn't experience them.

Very dirty city, garbage is everywhere, the bins are not emptied, the streets are dusty. Public traffic is out of order, I was afraid to cross the street at the pedestrian crossing, even when the light was green. The noise in the city is terrible. There are very beautiful old buildings, but they don't stand out because everything is too dense.
The best impression is a tour of the castle Sant’Elmo, which offers a view of the whole of Naples. Don't miss it at all, it improved our overall impression of the city.

This is a tourist town. Top to bottom.
This is a tourist town. Top to bottom. It has easy connections to islands that people want to see and to history that people want to see. Main sites to see in town are dripping with tchotchkes to buy. They are all representative of the town and the region. I would say that this is a must visit town. No doubts.
It is a tourist town and everything about it is set up to get tourist money. The soul of the town is locked behind a wall of people tired of having to speak English to people who don’t understand the Italian way of life. If I lived there, I would not have the patience to deal with what I put a few people through. And I did put locals through the typical crap. Not because I wanted to. But because I was tired of the constant push to get my money rather than a need for genuine help. I wanted to be understood by people who were trying to be understood at the same time.
Because of that, I would recommend this town to everyone. But I would also recommend that anyone who visits understands that i napolitani are sick of our s$#t.

Excellent accommodation with friendly, helpful staff. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable.
Location is great with easy access to Napoli centrale station and metro. Plenty of food options nearby.
We read plenty of previous reviews about the bad neighbourhood but this was just a typical Naples area (maybe guests had only experienced other parts of Italy previously) - the accommodation is secure in a private building on a main street which is well lit and plenty of people around.
The host's mother came to let us in and was very nice. She made sure to explain how everything worked and even left us a little welcoming gift - something we have not experienced anywhere else in Italy. For sure, the neighboorhood is VERY noisy, full of life until very late - but it's worth it if you want to enjoy what Naples seems to really be about. We really thought for a young couple this was perfect. The bed was also quite comfortable.
Amazing staff, extremely friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic, close to the Central station and the city centre both the historic centre and shopping area. Very clean with all the necessary things in the bathroom. Breakfast was substantial including fruit and vegetables which is not typical for Italy:) Overall, we are very satisfied with our stay and I am going to return there in November. Now in Naples only in AuRoom.
Our host was very kind and helped us with our bags. We thought this location was perfect in Naples! It is so great to be close to the port and food and night life and overall felt very safe. The bathroom was great, very clean. We had a nice view and the bed was comfortable. We had everything we needed for the 3 nights we were there. Great introduction to Italy.
Vani is very helpful and friendly. We felt at home. The location of the house is very safe and in the heart of Naples. It felt like staying at a friend’s house; both the house and Vani have such a great energy. That’s why it’s clear where we’ll stay next time we visit Naples. With her recommendations you can have a budget-friendly and fulfilling trip to Italy.
