I had a beautiful view of the river and boardwalk. It is wonderful that the window actually opens for natural air. I didn't use the pool and spa but went to look and it was spacious, lots of daylight and very clean. Their "signature" soap scent is super.

We booked a room with two queens. It was very good sized with plenty of space to spread out. Our room looked out onto some charming older buildings on the street and though we were on a lower floor, it was surprisingly quiet. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was likewise spacious. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating.

I didn’t know anything about Quebec City before going there.
I didn’t know anything about Quebec City before going there. I found it’s history very interesting. I had heard that the language was prominently French, which it is, but we did not have any trouble communicating by only being able to speak English. The local people were very friendly, nice, and helpful.

I have family all around Quebec City and I've been visiting since I was a baby. But each time I come, I see new things and revisit my favorites! This time we rented bikes and saw Quebec from a whole new viewpoint. WE LOVED IT! I've been here in pretty much every season, and there's so much to do no matter what time of the year you visit! Walking around Old Quebec, lunch at one of the many restaurants around there. There is so much history to learn about here. Then go to Val Cartier, just north of the city. They have a wonderful waterpark in the summer and in the winter it's tubing and skating (or for adults, the Ice Hotel where you can try ice cold vodka!) You must try crepes, creton, and homemade vegetable soup! Some of the best you'll ever try! I could go on, but this is a good sample of the things to see, do, eat, experience in Quebec!

I really enjoyed my visit to Old Town Quebec.
I really enjoyed my visit to Old Town Quebec. I visited in cold weather and it didn't seem to be enough salt on the sidewalks to melt the ice properly; it was very slippery there. My advise to travelers is be mindful of this fact while sightseeing.

The Old City felt like a European old city, the streets, buildings everything was just beautiful. The walled, fortress, city is full of history and we would recommend a guided walking tour of the old city to give you some historical framework, and a taste of this beautiful city.

Our stay in the Atypic Hotel was very enjoyable. It is located in the heart of old town, every sightseeing spot can be reached by foot. The check in/out were easy and convenient. Our host Wiliam was very welcoming and made us feel at home. He answered every question and gave us good recommendations. He was awesome! Further, he explained the kitchen rules (free breakfast + bring your own food and do your dishes). The rooms were small but well organized and tidy. A washing machine and dryer are available in the basement.
Room was big and comfy. Breakfast was a small continental buffet with breads, danishes fruit, condiments, tea and coffee. It was all that we needed and enjoyed what was on offer. Great location in old Quebec town, situated in good spot to walk around the old town and close to some great restaurants and cafes. Hotel is situated across from the Museum of civilisation - which is a must see. The restaurant - Matto, was very good with a great menu and food was delicious.
My son and I have stayed her twice now. So fun to have the pool in the middle of the hotel. Great to be able to come back for a swim after being out. So close to the old town too. Everything is very walkable. Staff has always been friendly and responsive. We will hopefully be back again!
Wonderful location right in the heart of Old Town. Walking distance to all of the restaurants and the shopping area. Only 5 minutes away from the plaza overlooking the water (outside the Fairmont). They have TUBI available so you can watch a selection of free movies.
I chose this hotel for the location near the railway station, as this is how I arrived. I caught a flight home, taxi arrived 5 minutes after booking. It was ideal for the old town, which is superb.
