We were looking for a less expensive hotel, close to the airport and train station, to stay in for our last night in Portugal.
From the online images and even when we got to the property, the outside didn't look like much. But when we got inside it was like we stepped into a luxury hotel from a bygone era. It's not a modern hotel - it's better. It still nice little things like shower caps... remember those days? Anyway - we were pleasantly surprised.

The hotel was great. Clean and bed was comfortable. Staff was very nice. Morning breakfast had lots of variety. Staff held my bags so I could explore as I got in early in am. The hotel is in a more residential area and not in the bustle which I liked. Across the street from a grocery store which I was able to get water from.

Some interesting sights but overall I was left with an impression of a city that was tired, a bit dirty and rundown in many places, and it had less inspiring and restful sights to restore the soul.
Belem was my favourite but just walking through Alfama was an interesting experience.

I have been to Lisbon before so was prepared for the chaos and mess . It’s such a shame that the city isn’t cared for better . Everything is broken and not finished and covered in graffiti. I love Portugal and the Portuguese but Lisbon could do much better !

I would suggest avoiding the cigarette-smoky, shopping avenues (despite their purported glamor), and concentrate on the historic structures instead. Food and wine were great and reasonably priced, A 4-5 hour daytrip to Sintra (40 minutes away by train) takes you to a charming little city with more castles per SF, than I've ever come across before.

In general, all the main attractions in Lisbon are in walking distance. If you also want to go to see thee huge statue of Jesus “Santuário Nacional de Cristo Rei” take the ferry from “Cais do Sodre” to “Cacilhas”. Takes you 10 minutes for less than 2 Euro per Person and direction. There take a tuctuc for 5 Euro per Person to the statue. All in all, much cheaper than a taxi or uber and more fun than any city bus (they drive like s*). In Lisbon also take a ride with the old electric trams and like in any public transport you don´t need a ticket in advance, you can pay with your phone or ATM-Card.
A absolute must see in Lisbon is the “Oceanario de Lisboa” and you can also have lunch there for super less money and top quality. Afterwards take the cable car “Telecabine Lisboa Estacao Norte” to the “Torre Vasco da Gama” and get in touch with the roof top bar inside the tallest building of Portugal. You´ll like it 100%. Protip, come again at night and leave the kid´s at Home.

While the hotel itself met my expectations and offered a pleasant stay, I must admit that I was disappointed with the city overall.
The streets and sidewalks in many areas were poorly maintained, making it easy to trip or get injured. Unfortunately, I was approached daily by individuals offering drugs, which made walking around uncomfortable. There were also many homeless people sleeping in doorways, on sidewalks, and near crossings – often accompanied by strong and unpleasant odors.
I found the persistent attempts to lure tourists into restaurants quite exhausting, and in some neighborhoods, particularly around the market hall (which itself was great), I didn’t feel completely safe. I recommend walking back along the riverside rather than taking shortcuts through inner streets, as I did.
One of the biggest disappointments was my trip to Sintra. It felt like a waste of money. I was required to buy a day pass for €13.50 just to return from the castle to the center of Sintra by bus, and then I couldn’t even use that ticket for other buses I wanted to take later. The ticketing policy seemed unfair and misleading.
In summary, while I appreciated the quality of the accommodation, my overall experience in Lisbon was negatively affected by several issues in the city itself and for sure, I do not plan to be back to Lisbon.

Spent 5 days walking Lisbon.
Spent 5 days walking Lisbon. Loved walking around but you do want sturdy shoes as many areas are uneven paving. Very safe. Highly recommend the Tile Museum - it was much better than we expected. If you are fit and go to Sintra, walk up instead of taking the bus - it's gorgeous. Good idea to spend two days in Sintra and the whole town is a museum. Not convinced the two hour wait was worth going to Jeronimous Monastery for the money. It is gorgeous, but minimal information and you can see it from the outside and the church, which is free. We walked everywhere. Be prepared for long queues even if you have booked tickets online. Loved the castle and the Pasta de Nada in the bakery just outside the exit had the best ones we tried.

Honestly this is one of the best places I've ever stayed at. Everything was brilliant. Location was amazing too, loved the avenue nearby and close to centre, metro, train station. The apartment had everything we could wish for, comfy beds and extremely quiet. If we ever visit Lisbon again we'll be staying here. Staff were extremely helpful. It's part of a 5 star hotel so the service was top level.
I loved the staff! They were amazing! Soo friendly, I traveled alone and they would help me with tourists spots to visit in the day. Accommodated my diet at breakfast and dinner.
The hotel facilities were amazing! Luster hotel and the team are 5 star ⭐️, top tier and made it one of the best vacations I have had!
Plus the bar is brilliant! Best cocktails🍹 you will ever drink! 💕💕💕💕💕💕😘
We did not have breakfast included. There are quite alot of cafes close to the hotel to have breakfast in.Its a better and cheaper option to have breakfast outside the hotel. The location is sterling and best place to stay to walk around and discover different parts of Lisbon.
5 star service throughout and you’re treat like a VIP. One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in and can not fault the service of every single member we encountered. Hotel itself is beautiful with an amazing selection for breakfast.
Probably the Best 5 stars Hotel in Lisbon.
Location, Service, Glamour and a Great Experience in an amazing Hotel Atmosphere.
we a couple of great cocktails in Rocco, the Restaurant.
