A bustling small city, Eindhoven is the "Capital of Dutch Design" and home to the Design Academy. It houses a renowned technical university, and is a European technological hub that makes it shine with modern buildings and venues. The 5th-largest city in the Netherlands has also become popular for the fast-growing Eindhoven Airport.
Although it gained its city rights in 1232, until the foundation of the Philips Company in 1891 it was still a small village. Encompassing the growth of the company, at the beginning of the 21st century its population had jumped to 200,000 people.
Nowadays, it still attracts companies and people wanting to develop themselves in the fields of creativity and innovation. The Dutch Design Week is a famous event that takes place in October, while contemporary media, art and technology inspire the city’s agenda throughout the year.
Choosing hotels in central Eindhoven is the best way to have everything at hand. However, hotels or B&Bs near the train station or Eindhoven Airport are also a good option to avoid last-minute rushes. Check out Booking.com’s deals before you travel!
Fantastic train and bus connection with all country.
Fantastic train and bus connection with all country.
We had fun in Motion, visited splinter park, and even visited Corpus museum in Leiden.
Highly recommended to create a page or link with Eindhoven for kids- there are a lot to offer.

A great little city!
A great little city! Whilst I travelled for work, I did have some free time to explore a little and visit some of the cities restaurants and bars.
There is a bus from the airport to the main station in the city centre, and it is easy to walk around as long as you stay aware of the cyclists.

Lots of casinos, & cigarettes everywhere, not much cultural happening beyond the tourist thing with the lights. Not much to do after hours except alcohol... they seem to roll up the streets. Great town if you're a drinker, otherwise, meh.
When I returned home I had my suit drycleaned because of the cigarette smell it picked up there.

Eindhoven is a great place.
Eindhoven is a great place. It is not very big, so that makes it the best fit for me. You can ride a bike, everybody is doing it and it is great. There are a lot of things to do there. The best place to visit is Next Nature Museum where you can find a lot of information and great exhibitions and "go to the future" via VR Machine. Eindhoven has a lot of great cafes, restaurants, shops.

Holiday Inn
Holiday Inn
Liked - Not good enough - there is nothing We liked
Disliked · The breakfast is below average, the rooms not cleaned properly We stayed for 5 nights and after the third night we had to tell them to change the sheets, found an old packet with a sandwich left on top of the fridge, the cups and utilities not changed since we arrived and left, had to ask for another towel, only one in the toilet, overall this Holiday Inn is not up to standard and the people doing the cleaning of the rooms needs to be replaced with better staff. The room 502 that we stayed had a feet aroma smell, very uncomfortable, tried to open the windows to clear the smell but no luck.

It was a lovely city to visit.
It was a lovely city to visit. There was a range of things to do (shopping, site seeing, museums, interactive experiences, food) which we filled our days with. Plenty of pubs in the area too. The locals were lovely, and a lot were all very good at speaking English which made me less nervous because as much as I try I'm not overally good at learning new languages. One of our nights we ate at 'The Black Cat' (Kerkstraat 16, 5611 GJ) - 100% recommend coming here! The food was absolutely delicious, the staff were so lovely, and the owner was a delight to talk to when she welcomed us and thanked us for eating there! Genuinely some of the best food I've eaten.

The hotel room was really spacious and clean. The staff were super friendly and the back garden has a pool and outdoor activities. The hotel also offers items in case you forgot anything like toothbrush & travel plug! I was super relived about this! The location is right next to the airport I even walked there it was so close & you can get a tram really easy to eindhoven city centre which is a nice place to go. Lots of nice food places!
great way to end a holiday trip for travellers catching early morning flights out of eindhoven. we were in Den Haag for the rest of the trip but wanted to be close to the Eindhoven airport on flight day. we managed an interesting afternoon in the City after leaving our bags at the Centraal station lockers. caught bus 401 to get to the hotel and stayed there the night. most comfortable and just walking distance from the Departures.
So easy to find from the bus station on arrival in the evening and to leave next morning, right in the airport. Welcoming and pleasing room decor. Pleasant receptionist spoke fluent English. Having a kettle in the room was great, we stayed in three hotels in the Netherlands and this was the only one with a kettle. Bed and pillow was comfortable and sheets were good quality. Good sound proofing. Not over heated.
Lots of space in the room, mini fridge was very useful. The room was cleaned every day, including towels change. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is based in the city centre and only short 10min walk from Central Station.
Location was excellent, hotel is extremely close to train station, bus shuttle to airport and all the shops. So many restaurants, shops. I loved Eindhoven.
