Wim was a great deal of help to our group. My friend left her passport on the plane, and after supplying Wim with the necessary information on her seat location and flight number, he quickly found out that the airport police had her passport. That could not have gone better.

Absolutely everything . I had a lovely stay , I even extended my trip . It’s such a calming little oasis when you walk in and the converted bomb shelter into spa was my favourite. All the staff were super lovely and service was impeccable. Highly recommend getting a massage from Luisa . I am sad to go but have already recommended this place to all my loved ones .

Edgy and eclectic, Palermo is a symbol of all that Sicily stands for. From buzzing Vespas to the bustling Vucciria market, it simply brims with life.
Wonderful Palermo Cathedral glows radiantly in the Mediterranean sun. Nearby is the city’s last Sicilian Puppet Theater, and across the street is a palm-filled park housing Roman mosaics, though the best are in the archeological museum. At one end is the Norman Palace, a government building home to the fabulous Cappella Palatina, whose gold mosaics are absolutely breathtaking.
Equally magnificent are the gold mosaics lining the 12th-century Monreale Cathedral on the city’s outskirts. Wander the cloisters and note the varying columns and capitals – each pair is different.
Palermo also has fascinating churches: 2 of the oldest are 12th-century San Giovanni degli Eremeti and San Cataldo, each with red, Islamic-style domes. Gesú Church has an incredible Sicilian Baroque interior, while La Martorana’s frescoes are awe-inspiring. A street away is Quattro Canti, an intersection with a fountain in each corner.
Other attractions include the round Teatro Massimo, Mondello beach and Monte Pellegrino mountain overlooking the sea. You get fabulous views of this picnic spot as you fly into Palermo Airport before heading to your Booking.com accommodations.
Palermo can be both upmarket (Mondello) or shabby chic (...
Palermo can be both upmarket (Mondello) or shabby chic (Ballaro Market) but it is glorious. 3-6 days is good, depending on how much time you want to spend in Palermo and how much time using it as a base for other attractions such as Cefalu, Agrigento or Trapani.
Wear sensible shoes, enjoy the nightlife, embrace a cosmopolitan city, avoid the tourist restaurants on Via Vittorio Emmanuele and have a great time.

🌞 Palermo – Sweet Chaos with a Mafia Breeze 🍊🍝
🌞 Palermo – Sweet Chaos with a Mafia Breeze 🍊🍝
Palermo is a glorious mess of sun, Aperol, and ancient buildings whispering secrets. The food? Divine. Cannoli, pasta, gelato – pure magic. The vibe? A little wild, a little mafia-in-the-air, but always full of life.
It’s not polished, it’s passionate. You don’t just visit Palermo – you feel it.

Lively and bustling city, there's so much to do and so much to see. Every street is a different story and there are lovely details hidden all over the city. Food is amazing, but I'd say skip the touristic markets and cafes / restaurants around touristic hotspots. The best food is hidden in the side streets.

We fell in love with Palermo.
We fell in love with Palermo. The people, the food, the reasonable prices compared to other places in Europe and he history of the most conquered city in Europe, made for a very special visit. If you want flashy then this isn't the place for you. If you want authentic and real life then you must visit. We stayed in the old town where life is raw and gritty, it's not clean but it is beautiful in it's appeal, that is if you have an open mind, understand the history and take the time to interact with the people. We will definitely visit again.

I travelled Sicily for a week with a friend and our stay at Casa Clo was superb. Claudia was there to meet us on arrival and give a tour of the apratment which is beautifully appointed and very well equiped. It may be cliched to say it felt like home, but it is very true. My friend and I both commented that it's probably the best short term accommodation either of us could remember staying in. Whenever I get back to Palermo, and I most certainly will, I'll be sure to stay at Casa Clo.
A great B&B in Palermo. I’ve stayed three times, once with my wife and twice with my children and their partners when we took over the place. Its location is excellent if arriving or departing by ferry to elsewhere in Italy, a short stroll to the historic centre, and near a range of nice restaurants. Our host Antonio was fantastic arranging for a driver to collect the children from the airport and on the second stay after a week touring Sicily sending them back to the airport.
The location is perfect for walking around Palermo, you really can't go wrong as it's just next to the old town on a quiet side street and only 10 min walk from the main train station offering great connection to the airport and other parts of Sicily. The room itself was spotlessly clean and spacious. Sadly the pool is not open in April which I didn't realise until the last minute. Our hosts were very accommodating and brought extra pillows very quickly upon request.
The property is located in best part of Palermo. It is basically a cross the street from Palermo Cathedral. The Apartment is on ground floor and it is decorated with a lot details and objects from Sicily.
The hosts were amazing and very helpful. Ready to help at any moment and also they provided us advises what to do in our two day trip.
Beautiful boutique hotel which is tastefully decorated, conveniently located and provides a comfortable stay in Palermo. The breakfast has a good selection for all tastes. A roof top terrace with a pool and bar is an amazing place to relax after daily activities and before dining out .
