Copenhagen in May is simply delightful.

Copenhagen in May is simply delightful. The city truly comes to life with the arrival of spring, and the mild weather makes everything feel more inviting. With longer days and comfortable temperatures, it's the perfect time to explore by bike — the locals’ favorite way to get around. The bike lanes are safe, well-marked, and connect the city beautifully, turning every ride into a scenic experience. The people in Copenhagen are incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile, which makes a big difference for first-time visitors. On top of that, the city offers an impressive range of choices — from hygge cafés and lively street markets to museums, green parks, and a vibrant food scene that celebrates fresh, local ingredients. Copenhagen in May it’s hard not to fall in love.

Copenhagen is a great city to visit.

Copenhagen is a great city to visit. Do a boat trip as you really see different parts of the city. Try social dining at Canalhuis or similar- especially good if you are on your own as you meet interesting people. The national museum is well worth a visit- great cafe.

    Beautiful city, clean and safe.

Beautiful city, clean and safe. It’s smaller than one can think and so easy to go around the touristic places. Use the public transport city. Metro system is very good. Hard to find and expensive parking.

Expensive - but we know that.

Expensive - but we know that. A great place to walk around, and be sure to make use of the metro and buses to save your feet. Get the 2A bus and visit Reffen for great "street food" and drinks. On a hot summer's day, this would be ideal to sit back and relax. When we visited, it was cold and grey, but we still had a great time. There are other attractions en route to Reffen, such as the Church of Our Saviour, and Christiania, the famous freetown (take cash!) and of course the Copenhagen Contemporary.

If you have mobility issues, this city will not work.

If you have mobility issues, this city will not work. To do most anything, you are walking on cobblestone streets. To tour any sites, there are many steps to climb and few if any elevators. 50% of people ride bikes here, so need to understand rules of the road. Car parking costs everywhere and isn't always easy to figure out. Language not a barrier - most Danes speak good English. Chilly weather in June with winds and rainbursts. Layer up and bring a poncho and rain hat - the wind will destroy an umbrella!

Our family really enjoyed our time in Copenhagen.

Our family really enjoyed our time in Copenhagen. We traveled the really good train rails. I just would have like for late night they could have run a little more regularly. But it did dawn on us much later that the town closes up shop early. Which is good, just did not expect that initially. As we were out visiting family and had to Uber from the train station because the next train didn't come for almost another hour. Even though many locals continued to say the rainy weather was not normal, that did not bother us at all. We managed to get out and explore even during the rain. Beautiful town, good food, and very expensive compared to the US. Would definitely visit again. So much more to see. We loved it all, taking the train to Sweden, the canal Copenhagen tour and the food around the city center.

This has been the second time I stayed in this hotel: it is really well located, less than 10 minutes walk from the train station and about the same time to be in the city centre. And the price is really good for Copenhagen. The room was clean, functional and very quiet thanks to a window to the inner courtyard. The breakfast was really nice with freshly baked bread, fruit and coffee. On top of that, you had a splendid view across the city.

Perfect spot for sightseeing tour around Copenhagen, as the hotel is directly next to the metro station, that can take you to the city centre area in a matter of minutes. The rooms are really comfortable and clean. Additionaly the rooftop area and common room seem to be extremely social space, where you can spend nice evening or remote workday. (We did not spend time there, as visiting the city was the main prio for us)
