Belgrade sits at the confluence of the Danube and the Sava, a very special location. There is a lot of history, though sadly most of the old buildings were destroyed by the Turks, Austrians, Hungarians and Germans over the centuries. But the Castle, overlooking the Danube and the Sava, is impressive and well worth a visit, as is the National Museum, which is well laid out with good commentaries in Serbian and English. The old city is easy to walk around. There is plenty of choice for good eating at reasonable prices. We ate at a good Georgian Restaurant as well as Serbian places. Wine is quite expensive though, even the local wine. The people are friendly and English is widely spoken, at least where tourists go, just don't try to hurry them!

I had visited Belgrade several times before but never for 5 days, so I was very nicely surprised by how good the city is. Public transport is free. If you stay downtown you can just walk everywhere. Huge amount of cafes and restaurants. Getting a taxi is more of a hustle.

Center of town is clean and nice.
Center of town is clean and nice. Lots of shops and restaurants. However the rest of the city is rather tired and not so clean. Beware of the traffic and crazy drivers. There is no such thing as traffic laws there. Bit scary to drive there. You can easily have an accident if you do not be super careful. Avoid driving at all costs. Besides that people are friendly.

I go to Belgrade to visit friens and family, and to see a dentist who is better and less expensive than anyone I can find in Switzerland.
Young people from everywhere like it a lot, because it is inexpensive and has good entertainment. Public transportation is good and free. There are some excellent restaurants.
The down side is that polution is bad in Summer and worse in Winter. Driving is difficult, and it is virtually impossible to find parking downtown, but taxis are plentiful and relatively inexpensive.
Like in all big cities, you have to watch for pickpockets.

A bit like Prague without the tourists. I had Good weather which helps. The bus and trams are free, why aren't more people using them. I think Belgrade is the only city that has free public transport.

Belgrade is one of the most interesting cities I have visited. On the outside, I think it has seen better days - there is graffiti everywhere, quite a bit of litter and some areas where the smell of sewage is present. But, for us, the good outweighs the less-than-good. People are really friendly and outgoing; nightlife is very good - people sitting in sidewalk cafes and strolling with family and friends; dogs are well-loved and are very well-behaved; free buses, trams and trolleys make getting around the city much easier and we didn’t have to figure out how to buy tickets - we just got on and rode until we wanted to get off; children seem happy and people, in general, are attractive; there are many parks and the trees are varied and beautiful; food is tasty.

Surely one of the best location I stayed at in Belgrade as I was at 2 other Hotels before ending up here. Staying right on the Republic square, there are many food options, evenings are very lively, park and the Fort is right across the road. Vladmir was super great in assisting us and provided many food options in walking distance. He also helped us with dropping us back to the airport. I would surely recommend this as a top preference and I know we will stay here again the next time we visit Belgrade.
The staff at this hotel were incredibly proactive and helpful. After leaving Serbia, we realized we had forgotten some belongings in the hotel. The staff quickly located our items and offered several thoughtful solutions, which was truly impressive. Additionally, the hotel's location is fantastic—within walking distance of many excellent restaurants in central Belgrade. Highly recommended!
Nice hotel, in an exceptional location, in one of the most beautiful parts of Belgrade, near the Temple of Saint Sava, largest Orthodox church in Serbia, one of the largest Eastern Orthodox churches and among the largest churches in the world. An extremely pleasant stay, which was contributed to by the fantastic and very cordial attitude of the entire hotel staff.
The apartment has a very good placing, near the center of Belgrade. It's very close to some very good Serbian restaurants and turistic attractions. As for the staff, very warm welcoming, they pay attention to your needs and take action if something is wrong within the apartment. I really recommend this Hotel, 10/10 😄
Everything this place the best
