Staff and service couldn't have been better or nicer to us. They went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and secure and they are very discreet to boot. The high tea and the breakfast are the best i have ever had - and that's saying something. The location is excellent and right on train and light rail lines in the middle of the city. Tourist maps and info on free tours is at the Concierge Desk and extremely good without being overdone. Very easy going and comfy stay for a special weekend away.

Great to watch live NRL game or concert. Sydney Harbour cruise is a must. Best way to see iconic landmarks like opera house & bridge. Train makes it easy to get around. The Meritan Suites in Bondi Junction were close to shops and transport with some great little eateries.

Coming from a relatively less crowded city, Sydney was too crowded for us. The opera house and ferry ride is a must for all the new visitors for a beautiful view of the city. Very hard to drive around in Sydney, never seen such traffics in Australia; if you miss one turn you can expect for a longer time to your destination.

I came to Sydney to walk the Bondi to Manly coastal walk, and Sydney didn't disappoint. This walk is brilliant. I did it over 4 1/2 days, staying at some cheaper hostels and guest houses along the way. It was stellar weather for July too. If you're considering a multi-day walk that isn't too taxing nor too expensive, this one is brilliant. Thank you, Sydney!

Sydney is a beautiful city with a surprising amount of ‘historical’ architecture. Food is varied and of great quality and a visitor should have an open mind to try different cuisines and not just what they are familiar with as it’s a melting pot of cultures. But one needs to get away from just the obvious spots as Sydney is about different suburbs, and not just the CBD. The parks are incredible and anywhere near the water.

I always stay at Maze when I do a trip to Sydney (I live a few hours away and often come down for concerts/shows/games etc). The location is so convenient as I catch the train to Sydney and Maze is only a short walk from Central. I get a single room as I’m a bit older than most backpackers in their early 20s, but the bathrooms are clean and in this economy I can’t afford hotels in the CBD anymore. Everyone is friendly though and the front desk staff were helpful.

The Horse and Jockey is great if you are going to Olympic Park for anything. There's a bus outside the door that goes there, Uber trips are cheap. It's really close to Homebush Station. The pub has a great food menu. The beds are new, as are the shared bathrooms. Good for the price when compared to Olympic Park hotels.

DO NOT BOOK. This hotel doesn't exist. On arrival to the address we found there was no hotel, we asked local neighbours which had never heard of it. Phoned the contact number which wasn't answered. I then have not been refunded by booking.com even after I ended up having to sleep in my car on Christmas day.
